THE PROJECT
Woodford Business Park is home to blue chip office spaces for large multinational corporations. Pinebridge were engaged by Aramark Property to complete a strip out and re-fit of the ground floor office area in order to attract a new long lease tenant.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
- Mechanical Plant – Our fit-out team stripped out the existing redundant R22 air-conditioning systems outdoors and indoors to make way for a new efficient R404a air-conditioning system. The existing ducting was modified to allow for new fire dampers and associated controllers.
- Live busy environment – The project was completed in a busy suburban office complex and our fit-out team ensured that all areas surrounding our work zones were fully segregated from the public. This allowed to use large plant and set up waste segregation zones to demolish the existing office areas
- Existing building – Defects in the original fabric of the building were discovered and immediately rectified during the course of the works. The firestopping integrity of the building was significantly improved as a result of discovery of these defects.
