THE PROJECT
Elliott Building & Civil Engineering engaged Pinebridge subsidiary company to complete the reinforced concrete structures at their Wicklow Hospice project. Our company constructed the basement structure, perimeter foundations, ground floor slabs and external courtyards.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
- Programme – The project was completed on a fast track basis to enable the early handover of the hospice facility to the client. The main contractor ensured that all the necessary reinforcement bars were on site early for us to start pre-fabrication of the reinforced elements.
- Fair Faced Finishes – The design required certain elements of the structure to be completed with a Class C fair faced finish such as circular ring beams, columns and rectangular beams. Our formwork carpenters ensured these finishes were created using superior quality sheet material and concrete finishing techniques.
